At home, hundreds of Shamrock Facepainters raised just over €17,000 for Suas Education Projects. The streets of Dublin, Cork and Galway were painted green with the help of Suas Shamrockers having fun and raising money.

Suas would like to thank everyone who made the fundraiser such a huge success. The funds will go a long way to supporting quality education initiatives in Ireland, India and Kenya.

Meanwhile in India, Suas hosted a very special St. Patrick’s Day event in partnership with DAS, Sabuj Sangha and Vikramshila.  On the night, special guests included The President of the Calcutta Chamber of Commerce, Mr Sundar Agarwal, and Irish Cricket Star Niall O Brien fresh from the world cup tournament.

The event was kindly sponsored by the Irish Embassy in Delhi and the Calcutta Chamber of Commerce. A great night was had by all, and Kevin O’Brien and Alex Cusack both donated their shirts from the historic winning match against England to be auctioned off in order to raise funds for our partners in India.
