Suas is delighted to announce a new project, in partnership with Camara, to install an improved computer lab in Gatoto Primary School and highlight the benefits of Information and Communication Technology for the classroom.



Before departing for their placement this Summer, Suas Volunteers travelling to Gatoto will receive training from Camara on how to instruct staff and students of Gatoto in the use of their new facility. They will also assist in the integration of the computers into the curriculum, particularly in the teaching of maths.



Speaking on the importance of computer use for staff and students, Gatoto Manager Betty Nyagoha points out that “it is a fantastic program for us, I believe the teachers are going to benefit greatly, as will the students because once the teachers have the knowledge they will be able to transfer it to the children”
