Enlighten and challenge yourself with the Global Issues Course

The Suas Global Issues Course aims to enlighten and challenge you! We'll open your eyes and increase your understanding of issues related to globalisation and development. You'll learn about topics including poverty, climate change, migration, debt, gender inequality - and consider how your actions locally in Ireland could contribute to a fairer world.

The course runs one evening a week for six weeks in Trinity, Dublin City University, University College Dublin, Maynooth University, NUI Galway and University College Cork.

Course sessions are not two hour lectures; but rather engaging, interactive sessions, where questions and discussion are encouraged. Sessions will be facilitated by a range of experienced educators and staff within the Irish NGO sector.

We welcome students from all disciplines and no prior knowledge of development issues is needed. Thanks to support from Irish Aid the six weeks cost just €25.00. However places are limited to 30 and we'll allocate on a first-come, first-serve basis so apply early!

The course first ran in 2004 - and since then over 2,000 students have taken the course!
