Since 2002, Suas has gone through a period of rapid growth. In 2003, there was one employee, today there are 17 full-time equivalents (FTEs), including those who volunteer on a part-time basis in the office.

 

Paid Positions:

Finance and Admin Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Finance and Administration Manager to provide strategic financial advice to the CEO and financial control and management services to the programme and fundraising teams within Suas.

The successful candidate will provide support to managers in donor budgeting and reporting, perform key accounting and finance tasks, and further develop and maintain finance office systems whilst ensuring the integrity of financial data.

Voluntary Positions:

8x8 Campus Co-ordinator

Suas is looking for students in DCU, NUIG, TCD, UCC & UCD to coordinate the third annual 8x8 Festival on their campus. 8x8 is designed to enable students to learn more about development issues and the part that they can play in bringing about positive change in the world, both locally and globally. The coordinators will help design, organise, launch and promote the festival on campus.

Global Issues Course Co-ordinator

We are looking for Campus Co-ordinators to support the delivery of the Global Issues courses in TCD, DCU, UCD, NUIG, UCC. The Co-ordinators will be the point of contact on their campus between the team in the Suas office, course facilitators and course participants. Campus Co-ordinators will gain professional work experience with an NGO in the international development sector, have the opportunity to work independently and take on responsibilities while also being supported from the Suas office, learn about Global Issues and meet new people.

Volunteer Mentor Coordinator (Literacy Support Programme)

The Mentor Coordinator will be the main point of contact on campus for the Literacy Support Programme. Working with Suas Literacy support team (Dublin Head Office) and a Regional Co-ordinator, the Mentor Co-ordinator will support the implementation of literacy support projects in local DEIS Schools. We are looking for Mentor Co-ordinators to work with volunteers on TCD, DCU, NUIG, UCC and WIT campuses.
