Since 2002, Suas has gone through a period of rapid growth.
In 2003, there was one employee, today there are roughly 19 full-time equivalents (FTEs), including those that volunteer on a part-time basis in the office.
There are hundreds of people volunteering with Suas activities around Ireland, such as mentoring projects, fundraising and raising awareness of Global Issues.
The support to our partners funds the employment of at least 100 educational staff in India and Kenya.
Business Development Manager
The Business Development Programme Manager is primarily responsible for Suas’ Fundraising and Communications Programmes.
This involves creating and implementing a programme of relationship building with a wide range of funding organisations (Government, Corporates, Philanthropies, HNWIs, etc), leading a full marketing communications mix that includes traditional and online PR, driving cross-Suas fundraising initiatives, with the aim of achieving long term financial sustainability so that Suas is able to deliver on, and expand, its ambitious educational mission.
The jobholder is expected to learn from best practice models in commerce and industry, as well as the not for profit sector, and must be able to innovate and ensure that Suas is ahead of the curve.

Global Issues Campus Coordinator DCU
The Suas Global Issues Course is an interactive course designed to give participants an introduction to a range of global development issues as well as the opportunity to engage with various experts from Irish and international NGOs.
We are looking for a self-starter who is keen to get involved in a deeper way with Suas and help support our Global Issues Courses Series for the coming academic year. This role will entail working with the Development Education Team to implement the two six-week courses. Additionally, several hours p/w during the three weeks leading up to each course will also be required for the preparatory and promotional work involved and in the weeks following the close of the courses for post course review.
We are currently recruiting for a Global Issues Campus Coordinator for the Spring Course 2012 based in DCU. The ideal candidate will have high levels of energy, commitment and enthusiasm as well as excellent planning and organising skills and the ability to work off their own initiative. The candidate must be either studying/working on campus having previously attended a Global Issues course preferably. This is a great paid part-time job for anyone interested in global issues/development and will ehance your CV further.
