We support third-level students in Ireland on their Global Citizenship journey by raising awareness and understanding & facilitating action on a range of global justice issues, currently through our two main programmes:
Our STAND programme and our International Volunteer Programme.
Camara Ireland, TechSpace, and the Suas Ireland Literacy Programme are now collectively known as Kinia. You can catch up with all of your favourite projects and people over here.
Kinia brings together Camara Ireland, TechSpace and the Ireland-focused programmes of Suas Educational
Development. Collectively we are grounded in the belief that education is a key driver to increased equality and
opportunity for children and young people, and we believe that by working together we can best realise that vision.
We want to build the foundations that support diversity and inclusion to become key pillars in a society where every
child has the vision to set their dreams and the pathway to achieve them.
OUR WORK INTERNATIONALLY
Since 2003, Suas has been facilitating international volunteering programmes in Zambia, Kenya and India. This programme is currently suspended due to the risks associated with COVID-19 on host communities, partners and volunteers. However, we continue to monitor the situation and re-invent parts of the programme.
OUR WORK IN IRELAND
STAND was set up in 2014 in response to the desire among students and young people in Ireland to learn more about justice and equality issues and take action. Our participants come from a range of backgrounds but all have one thing in common: the desire to bring about positive change in the world.
You can make a difference.
Here’s how you can get involved.
